Meet the Founders
Hi, I am Himal Maheshwari, Founder & CEO of Aari - Beyond Decor. As an architect with over five years of experience and a passion for sustainability, I always felt there was something missing in the decor industry—products that not only enhance homes but also give back to the planet. After studying and working in the UK, I realised how deeply sustainability can be woven into a brand’s core. That’s when the idea for Aari was born—a brand that’s all about handcrafted beauty, empowering artisans, and making a real impact on the environment.
And I am Priyanka, CMO of Aari. With a background in finance and marketing, I’ve always been passionate about creating opportunities, especially for women and artisans. Joining Aari meant turning my values into action. We started this journey to celebrate India’s craftsmanship while building a brand that truly cares for its people and the planet. It’s been tough—convincing artisans to work with us and sourcing sustainable materials wasn’t easy—but those challenges only fueled our determination.
Together, we’re on a mission to make Aari a global leader in sustainable decor. From planting our first 10 trees in Jaipur to building incredible relationships with artisans, every step has been rewarding. Our goal is big—1 million trees planted and net zero emissions by 2030—but we know it’s possible.
